Responsibilities:
* Provide firewall and IDS support for a large global enterprise client
* Learn fundamentals of currently supported firewall (Checkpoint, Juniper Netscreen, and Juniper SRX) and IPS/WAF (TippingPoint, Imperva, and Citrix NetScaler) technologies as well as learn any new security technology introduced into the network
* Apply standards from both Dell SecureWorks' and the client, to designing firewall rules and configurations
* Interface with users from a global enterprise client and evaluate access requests
* Engineer Move/Add/Change (MAC) requests, while building knowledge of the client network
* Take ownership of MAC related issues and work to resolution using resources such as peers, documentation, and network diagrams to assist
* Participate in an on-call rotation
* Provide support to the customer by being an extension of Dell SecureWorks' 24x7x365 Security Operations Center environment
* Builds deeper understanding of process and policy, and advise client accordingly
* Ability to work occasionally outside of pre-defined shift based on client demand and support requirements
* Demonstrate excellent communication and client care skills by documenting all activities within our client delivery systems and communicating with client representatives in a timely manner
* Learn best practice security policies and leverage them to address the customer's business needs
* Manage, participate in, or directly work on any additional projects, assignments, or initiatives assigned by management
* Work closely with a project management team on planned activities
* Provide level-of-effort assessments upon request
