Technical Analyst – Cloud Computing

Responsibilities/Relationships:
* Performs research, analysis, design, and implementation of technical solutions to meet current and future business requirements
* Responsible for infrastructure components (including middleware & configuration) of application technical architecture, design and implementation, new client, business and IT projects, operational design, scaling, performance improvements, network and telecommunications design, database design, and process design
* Provide guidance and oversight of technical processes improvements such as build and deployment processes, technical standards, and security requirements
* Provide SME\ technical guidance for projects throughout the environment, guiding requirements, analysis, and new strategies to meet project goals
* Perform 3rd level operational support when needed
* Support of web hosting platforms (development through production) environments in the Amazon EC2 cloud
* Assist in defining strategies to efficiently incorporate new clients and company acquisitions
* Build collaborative relationships throughout the IT (development, operations, engineering, project management, application architecture) department, and throughout the business
* Comfortable navigating network topology, administering firewall rule\ application port requests, and isolating network-related issues from application-related issues.
Qualifications\ Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree, with a technology or business emphasis, or equivalent education/experience
* 5+ years of Cloud Computing, and\or SaaS administration (preferred AWS EC2)
* 5+ years of Linux\Unix Systems Administration
* 4+ years of high-volume Apache web tier administration
* Strong work ethic, follow-through, detail-orientation, prioritization, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
* Production-tier, high volume SQL-compliant databases (ex: MySQL 5.1)
* VMWare ESX experience
* Engineering, architectural, and support experience of virtualized enterprise servers and systems in an HA configuration
* High volume\ capacity and 100%-uptime (SLA-based) environment engineering
* Experience working with large-scale 3rd party hosting providers and vendors
* Excellent written and verbal skills: ability to clearly communicate milestones, project goals and requirements with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a timely manner while meeting project deadlines
