Job Description:
Skills and Expertise:
• Packet analysis using tools such as OPNET IT Guru, Sniffer, Wireshark
• Network fundamentals (Cisco IOS, TCP/IP, OSI model)
• Alliance Partner network architecture
The primary tasks include:
• Participate in performance testing of networked applications to determine if they meet the performance requirements of the customer
• Apply good organization and problem-solving skills
• Apply knowledge in performance monitoring and planning methodologies
• Apply specific expertise in one or more tools (e.g., eHealth, NetQoS,OpNet, Observer/Gigamon, HTTP Watch, and WireShark)
• Apply performance tuning experience as it relates to I/O, network/hardware, SQL, and Java specific processes
• Assist in creating and updating performance plans, bridging IT Infrastructure, application optimization, and provide strategic and tactical Business Requirements
• Provide infrastructure performance assessment including complete analysis of perceived performance problems and be able to quantify results
• Apply strong knowledge of Web Based Infrastructures
• Apply working knowledge of database structures, modeling and tools
• Participate in the creation of performance and capacity reports. These reports need to be understandable and meaningful for executive, middle management, and technical audiences
• Experience in both capacity planning and capacity management
• Apply knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, and network protocols
• Apply knowledgeable of Service Management/ITIL best practices
• Apply Knowledge of project methodology/SDM
